Joost advises on the drafting of contracts within the framework of the realization and operation of energy projects and he supervises transactions related to those projects. Furthermore, Joost advises and litigates for, among others, developers, managers and corporations on lease law issues such as the qualification of (lease) agreements, defects, completions, renovation and redevelopment, rent adjustment and lease termination. He has been with Straatman Koster advocaten since March 2022.

Joost studied Dutch law and Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He completed the ‘Double Degree Programme Toga aan de Maas’ in 2018 and became a lawyer as part of the real estate team of Cees Advocaten in September of the same year. Joost is a member of the Dutch Young Property Lawyers Association (VJOJ).
