Caroline’s practice at Straatman Koster advocaten is focused on procurement law. She became a Partner at our firm on 1 January 2017.

Caroline graduated in 2007 from Leiden University with a degree in civil law, European law and international law. After several years working as a lawyer specialising in procurement law and competition law at Van Benthem & Keulen Advocaten & Notariaat in Utrecht, she joined Straatman Koster advocaten in 2011.

In 2014, Caroline successfully completed the post-doctoral specialised programme in European and Dutch procurement law at the Grotius Academy. Between 2013 and 2016, she was editorial secretary for the procurement law journal ‘Tijdschrift Aanbestedingsrecht’ (now: ‘Tijdschrift voor Aanbestedingsrecht en Staatssteun’ (Procurement Law and State Aid journal)). Caroline also has a tenured post as lecturer for the Planned Economy & Real Estate Law programme at the Scobe Academy. In addition, she has lectured in various courses of programmes at the Netherlands Institute for Construction Law (IBR) since 2015.
