Femke specialises in general administrative law, environmental and planning law and area development at Straatman Koster advocaten.

In 2017, while studying Law at Leiden University, she began as a student legal assistant at Habraken Rutten advocaten in Rotterdam, where she handled various construction law and real estate law-related matters.

She then transferred to Straatman Koster advocaten in 2019, where she began to study general administrative law and environmental law in particular as a (student) legal assistant. In February 2020, she started her master's degree in constitutional and administrative law at Leiden University, which she completed cum laude in June 2021. She has been working as a lawyer at Straatman Koster advocaten since September 2021.
